step 1Download template for the damsel's eyes and mouth.
step 2Using a color printer, print out the template on a sheet of white paper. (The template will print out in the correct colors if you use a color printer. If you don't have one, print out on white paper and use a red colored marker to color in the mouth, and a brown or black one to color in the eyes.)
step 3Using toenail scissors or baby nail scissors, carefully cut out the damsel's eyes and mouth. (These small scissors make cutting the tiny curves much easier.)
step 4Using pushpins, attach the eyes about one-third way of the down the vertical end of the squash. (The pushpins act as her eyeballs.)
step 5Using glue or double-sided tape, attach the raffia (or yarn) to the top of her head and let it dangle down like hair. Play around with the hairstyle to add your own special touch.
step 6Place small berries and a leaf on top of her head to form a hat effect.
step 7Wrap the plastic mesh vegetable bag around her waist with a stylish swirl and attach in the back with pins. Trim the length with scissors.
step 8Attach costume earrings and necklace.
