Ingredients

  • ½ lb. butter
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb. sharp cheddar, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons thyme, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
 

Directions

step 1Sift flour, salt, mustard, cayenne, and baking powder into a bowl, then add the butter.
step 2Beat the butter and the flour mixture together with an electric mixer until smooth.
step 3Stir in the cheese, thyme, and rosemary until combined completely.
step 4Form dough into ¾-inch balls.
step 5Place on cookie sheet, cover with Saran™ Premium Wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour.
step 6Bake at 350°F until lightly browned, approximately 20 minutes.

Made this last nite - very easy recipe. My 5 year old help roll the dough into balls (he thought it was like playing with playdough).
