Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 Tablespoon lavender flowers (herbs for cooking only)
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 

Directions

step 1In a small sauce pan heat the cream until steaming but not boiling.
step 2Add the lavender herbs to the hot cream and steep until cool.
step 3Place the cream and lavender in the refrigerator, covered. Chill overnight or until cold.
step 4Place the cream, vanilla, and sugar in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form and cream is light and airy.
step 5Serve with honey cake or use as topping for a vanilla ice cream sundae.
