Spring Clean In 60 Minutes Or Less

Get a jumpstart on the big clean in the time it takes to watch your favorite TV show.

Spring has officially sprung, and while the air may be fresh outside, you’ve got a lot of work to do before you can relax and bask in the sun. If you can block out just sixty minutes, you can tackle some of the bigger jobs and get a huge jumpstart (or even finish!) the big spring clean.

Gather the team

Unless you live alone, family members can help lighten the workload. Even toddlers can help dust or spend time putting away their toys!

Work from the outside in

Begin with exterior doors and windows and progress into the house, working your way from the front door to the back. This focuses your work on the parts visitors see most.

Make short work of windows

Exterior, second story window cleaning is the toughest chore—and it’s expensive to hire it done. Here's a solution: use Windex® Outdoor Glass & Patio Concentrated Cleaner—it’s specially designed bottle attaches to your garden hose so all you have to do is spray, rinse, and let dry!

Change the furnace filter

A clean filter takes dust out of circulation so indoor airflow can’t redeposit it on furniture, which means less dusting for you! It also means fewer allergens in the air—a high grade furnace filter will stop air pollutants from entering your home, and keep indoor allergens from recirculating.

Spray and walk away

Cleaning products like Scrubbing Bubbles® All Purpose Cleaner Heavy Duty with fantastik® clean better when they have a few minutes to work. Apply it to greasy kitchen soils, then spend a few minutes on another chore (like cleaning out the fridge) before wiping the area clean.

Open the windows

Even if the temperature is a bit chilly, open all the windows and air the house out. If the outdoor air is simply too cold, consider freshening with a Glade® Spray.

Give yourself a reward, and don’t forget the family members who helped, too! This leaves everyone with great memories and makes them more likely to do these chores next spring.
