Easy DIY Dried Fruit

All you need is fruit, a knife, your oven, and this guide!

Sure, you can buy it dried already, but why do that when making your own dried fruit is so easy (and affordable). No fancy gear needed, just a knife and the oven. Kick back while it bakes and when it’s done, pack it up in Ziploc® brand bags for a healthy on-the-go snack.

  • Strawberries

  • Oranges

  • Bananas

  • Blueberries

  • Raspberries


Easy DIY Dried Fruit

Step 1

Slice or separate fruit into snack-size pieces.

Step 2

Pre-heat oven to necessary temperature. Different fruit bakes at different temperatures. Use this baking guide below to determine the temperature to set your oven:

  • Pineapple: Bake at 175 degrees F for 7 hours

  • Strawberries: Bake at 160 degrees F for 12 hours

  • Oranges: Bake at 160 degrees F for 8 hours

  • Bananas: Bake at 200 degrees F for 3 hours

  • Blueberries: Bake at 200 degrees F for 8 hours

  • Raspberries: Bake at 100 degrees F for 10 hours

Step 3

Spray a standard baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Spread out the fruit in a even layer on the pan. Bake according to above instructions.

Step 4

Once complete, take the baked fruit out of the oven and let cool.
